Dr. Everett is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist. His clinical interests in addition to general pediatric cardiology include outcomes of cardiac catheterization procedures and the development of new computer and print based tools for teaching congenital heart disease (www.pted.org). Dr. Everett's research interests include the role of growth factors in the development of vascular injury and the application of proteomics to discover diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of pulmonary hypertension and stroke in children. Dr. Everett received his Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiology training at the University of Virginia. Dr. Everett joined the faculty of the University of Virginia in 1991 where he later became Associate Professor and Director of both the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory of the Child Health Research Center. Dr. Everett joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins in 2003 where he continues to expand his clinical and basic science research program.
